THE PERSON I MOST ADMIRE IS….JOHN
W. CARO CANO (1979-2007)
National army Captain, John W. Caro Cano was born in Cucuta, Norte de Santander on August 31th and he died in Puerto Rico, Meta on
March 3rd.
He lived for most of his life in Armenia, Quindío,
where he stayed 16 years. There he studied in the Military School and after that, he
traveled to Bogota to study in the National Army. In
2000, he got his first achievement as an ensign. He continued his Military career, and at the
same time he studied to be a lawyer.
In
2004, he received his
promotion to lieutenant. After that he took recognized courses, such as Lancer, Parachuting and Special Forces until his death in 2007.
John was a strong and responsible person. He liked to be pretty amusing and completely loving with his family, but he was serious and really undemonstrative in his work. Since his childhood, everybody congratulated his parents because John was always very polite, intelligent and self-confident; although he was a little shy and he didn’t like to participate in contests. However, he had great recognition in his military career for being a brave, determined and perseverant person.
Everyone regrets his death because he was an
excellent brother, son and friend, also he was friendly, gentle and completely
cheerful.
For the above reasons, he is the person I most admire
and he let me great lessons. He especially helped me to be a brave and determined
person, and the most important thing not to feel afraid of anything or anyone.
